Cloud Jumper is a quintessential Hazy IPA that embodies a soft, ethereal sensation. Utilizing a significant portion of flaked wheat and malted wheat, it presents a pillowy foundation that carries an intense burst of Southern Hemisphere hop character. These Australian and New Zealand hops deliver a vibrant, fruity profile dominated by notes of sun-ripened stone fruit, zesty orange, and exotic passion fruit. By forgoing boil hops in favor of extensive dry-hopping, the beer emphasizes a lush, juicy saturation with minimal bitterness. The result is a refreshing experience where bright, tropical esters harmonize with a gentle, bready malt backbone, creating a smooth finish.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4-6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that maintains a luminous shine. Supports a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and thick, webbed lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, ripe peach, and sweet orange. A light, bready, and grainy malt character from the wheat provides a soft backdrop, while clean, fruity fermentation esters support the tropical profile.
Taste. Explosive tropical fruit flavors of passion fruit and stone fruit followed by a bright citrus orange punch. The malt flavor is low but provides a soft, bready wheat foundation. Bitterness is very low and smooth, lacking any harsh edge due to the lack of kettle additions. The finish is off-dry and refreshing with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. Entirely smooth with no hop astringency or mouth-coating oiliness.
