Designed as a refreshing Quarter IPA, this golden-hued ale defies its low alcohol content with a surprisingly robust sensory presence. The aromatics are dominated by vibrant, juicy mango and sharp pink grapefruit, characteristic of modern American hop varieties. On the palate, the experience is bright and summer-focused, balancing an atypical low bitterness with a clean, grainy malt foundation that provides more structure and body than expected for its strength. It finishes remarkably crisp and dry, maintaining a hop-forward balance. Appearance. Medium gold with a slight, vibrant haze. Topped by a medium-sized, persistent white head with fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of ripe mango and zesty grapefruit. A low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a subtle background, with a clean fermentation profile free of heavy esters.
Taste. Initial impression of succulent tropical fruit followed by citrus zest. Hop flavors of mango and grapefruit dominate. Low bitterness leads to a balanced, juice-like character rather than an aggressive hop bite. Low grainy malt support leads into a dry, clean finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth or astringency present.
