Trickster, a collaboration between Siren Craft Brew and Buxton Brewery, modernizes the English IPA style by showcasing the potential of Harlequin and Jester hops. This vibrant ale pours with a gentle haze and a pale golden hue, immediately releasing high-intensity aromatics of peach and tropical passionfruit. The sensory experience is anchored by a bready, biscuity malt foundation, which provides a soft platform for the hops to evolve into a piney and resinous finish. This hop-forward character remains firmly balanced by an assertive bitterness, resulting in a refreshing and contemporary British profile that bridges tradition with modern hop breeding.

Appearance. Pours a pale gold (SRM 6-8) with a gentle, characteristic haze. Topped with a moderate, persistent off-white head that leaves light lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring dominant notes of ripe peach and passionfruit from Harlequin hops, supported by subtle floral and citrus-orange zest. A medium-low bready and biscuity malt character provides a solid base without distracting from the modern hop profile.

Taste. Initial impression is fruit-forward with peach and tropical passionfruit. Medium-low bready malt flavors provide a brief sweetness before giving way to a piney, resinous hop finish. Bitterness is firm and assertive (50-60 IBU context), lingering cleanly into a medium-dry and well-attenuated aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a notably soft, creamy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A smooth, subtle alcohol warmth is perceptible, reflecting its 6.5% ABV, without any harshness or astringency.
