The sensory experience is defined by a hearty foundation of toasty malts, delivering a biscuit-like backbone that supports a contemporary hop profile. Expect a vibrant interplay of citrus and floral aromas that provide a bright, fresh counterpoint to the rich, copper-hued liquid. Crafted with a delicate, cask-like carbonation, the beer offers a smooth and rounded mouthfeel that emphasizes its drinkability while maintaining a firm, clean bitterness that lingers pleasantly through the dry finish.
Appearance. Deep amber to rich copper in color (12–15 SRM). Displays brilliant clarity and a moderate, creamy off-white head with good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent toasty and bready malt character with hints of caramel. The hop aroma is distinctively citrusy and floral, supported by moderate fruity esters reminiscent of dried apricots or pears.
Taste. Initial malt sweetness of toasted bread and biscuit is quickly met by a moderate to high hop bitterness. Hop flavors of orange zest and wildflower are clear and persistent. The balance is slightly hop-forward but well-supported by the malt. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering, clean bitterness and a nutty aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, mimicking a traditional cask-conditioned ale. Very low alcohol warmth with no perceived astringency.
