Idea Machine is a collaboration between Siren Craft Brew and Dok Brewing Company, designed as a showcase of modern hop saturation. This Hazy IPA pours a strikingly pale, opaque straw color, reflecting its exceptionally light grist. The aroma is an intense explosion of tropical fruit and ripe stone fruit, underpinned by a faint, bready malt presence. On the palate, the experience is defined by a super soft body and a velvety mouthfeel that carries massive waves of citrus and mango flavors. Despite the hop density, the bitterness remains restrained and smooth, leading into a lush, juice-like finish that celebrates pure hop expression.
Appearance. SRM 3-4. Opaque, hazy straw to pale gold with a brilliant shine. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominant notes of passion fruit, guava, and sweet orange peel. Background malt is neutral and lightly bready, reminiscent of fresh flour or crackers, with no toast or caramel character. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters that complement the hop profile.
Taste. Explodes with tropical hop flavors including mango, pineapple, and soft peach. Low bready malt supports the hops without competing. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft, pillowy texture. The finish is off-dry and juicy, lacking any harshness or hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable super soft, pillowy texture likely derived from a high proportion of flaked grains. Carbonation is moderate. Smooth and creamy without being viscous or cloying; negligible alcohol warmth at 6.5% ABV.
