Siphon Brewing’s Krypton reimagines the classic Weissbier through a citrus-forward lens. The foundation is built on traditional malted wheat and Pilsner malt, providing a bready, doughy backdrop for the essential Weizen yeast fermentation. Distinctive aromas of ripe banana and spicy clove are immediately met by the zesty, slightly tart addition of blood orange juice. This inclusion sharpens the ester profile with bright citrus notes and a refreshing, mild bitterness that cuts through the creamy wheat texture. Effervescent and pale golden-orange, it delivers a complex interplay of fruit and spice with a crisp, dry, and highly refreshing finish.

Appearance. 4–7 SRM. Hazy to opaque with a vibrant golden-orange hue. Features a very thick, moussy, and long-lasting off-white head with dense lacing.

Aroma. Moderate-high intensity. Pronounced esters of ripe banana and spicy clove phenols are well-balanced by the sharp, zesty fragrance of blood orange. Light bready, grainy wheat malt presence with a hint of floral hops.

Taste. Initial impression of creamy, bready wheat malt and Pilsner graininess. The mid-palate is dominated by a combination of banana esters and tangy blood orange juice. Bitterness is low-moderate, slightly higher than style standards due to the citrus addition, providing a refreshing twist. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering citrus peel and clove aftertaste.
