Single Hill Brewing Sandstorm
This vibrant West Coast IPA showcases the intense aromatics of Krush hops, formerly known as HBC 586, amplified by the use of Krush HyperBoost technology. The sensory experience is defined by an explosive bouquet of tropical fruit, citrus, and stone fruit, anchored by a lean, neutral malt profile. As a modern interpretation of the American IPA, it balances high-impact hop oils with a firm, clean bitterness and a remarkably dry finish. The concentrated hop character delivers layers of mango and guava that linger on the palate, while the crisp structure ensures a refreshing and bright sensory profile from start to finish.
Appearance. Medium gold (approx. 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves decorative lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of mango, guava, and orange zest. A low, clean, grainy maltiness supports the hop-forward presentation. Fermentation profile is neutral and clean, free of yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impression is decidedly hop-forward with flavors of pineapple, peach, and citrus peel. Low, grainy-sweet malt provides a subtle foundation. Bitterness is firm and medium-high (approx. 60 IBU), leading into a very dry, crisp finish with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
