Description

Simple Things’ Wheat IPA is an intensely juicy IPA wrapped up in a silky smooth wheaty blanket. Huge additions of Mosaic, Citra and El Dorado hops give this tropical smasher tons of fresh mango, grapefruit and ripe pineapple flavour.

Thick and cloudy with a pale orange hue. Dense, intense, fruity and smooth; a chewy IPA brewed with 50% wheat and Mosaic, El Dorado and Citra hops. Sweet but not overly so and with plenty of bitterness for balance. This is a big one flavour-wise; tropical and citrus notes abound. It’s thick and soft, but with a punch, like a mouthful of mango washed down with a glass of fresh grapefruit juice and a shot of tequila. Piney resin and gooseberry come to the fore as the glass empties.

Reflecting a recent shift for us to include big, hoppy styles alongside the more traditional, European inspired releases we’re known for, it’s rammed full of juicy hops – Mosaic, Citra and El Dorado – that combine with a 50% wheat grist to produce a soft, chewy, hazy fruitbomb with strong hints of piney resin on the side. In the tasting notes I’ve put “like a mouthful of mango washed down with a glass of fresh grapefruit juice and a shot of tequila” which I think describes the balancing bite a big, tasty beer like this needs quite nicely.”
