This robust interpretation of a Dark Mild elevates the traditional profile through a complex nine-grain grist featuring a Maris Otter base. The addition of Madagascan cacao husks imparts a luxurious milk chocolate sweetness, accented by nuanced cherry notes. Bramling Cross and Monroe hops provide a unique berry depth, offering subtle hits of strawberry and blackcurrant that meld with the malt’s toffee and biscuit foundations. Despite its elevated strength, the beer remains exceptionally well-rounded, presenting a velvety and indulgent texture. Rich layers of dried fruit and cocoa create a sophisticated, contemporary take on the style with significant sensory depth.
Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown; moderate tan head with good retention and light lacing; generally clear with a subtle garnet highlight.
