This Hazy IPA presents a vibrant hop cocktail designed for the transition of seasons. The interplay of BRU-1 and Strata hops creates a lush tropical profile, delivering bold notes of pineapple, passion fruit, and subtle berry. A thoughtful addition of Sabro introduces a distinct, creamy coconut undertone that softens the sensory edges. The aroma is intensely fruity, leading into a palate where juicy hop flavors dominate over a restrained bitterness. It maintains a soft, pillowy character with a smooth finish, capturing an Indian summer essence. The malt remains a supportive, bready backdrop, allowing the distinctive hop trio to drive the experience.
Appearance. Pours a deep straw to golden-orange with a persistent, opaque haze that gives the liquid a luminous quality. It is topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring a complex blend of pineapple and stone fruit, layered with pungent tropical and berry notes. A subtle but unmistakable coconut and cream character adds depth. The malt is low and neutral, providing a light, grainy, bready foundation without any caramel or toast. Fermentation is clean with light fruity esters.
Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tropical juiciness. Dominant flavors of ripe mango, pineapple, and passion fruit are complemented by a soft coconut presence. Bitterness is low-to-moderate and well-integrated, never harsh or sharp. The malt flavor is bready and supportive, leading into a smooth, off-dry finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture and no harshness. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the drinkability. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength, but no astringency or raw starch texture.
