Signature Brew Piercing Pils
This collaborative Czech Premium Pale Lager offers a complex sensory experience that bridges traditional technique with modern infusion. A rich, bready malt foundation supports the distinct aromatic contribution of White Pear Tea and pear juice, which were integrated during the whirlpool to preserve their delicate character. The classic spicy and herbal essence of Saaz hops is invigorated by nuanced citrus notes from Amarillo hops, creating a layered profile of orchard fruit and spice. A gentle acidity from the pear juice pierces the malt sweetness, enhancing the beer's crispness and leading to a refreshing, clean finish that maintains the style's signature drinkability.
Appearance. Deep gold color (5 SRM). Features a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head with excellent lacing. The clarity is brilliant, showcasing a vibrant effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity. Rich, bready-rich malt provides the base for a complex bouquet of spicy and herbal Saaz hops, intertwined with distinct ripe pear and floral tea notes. Amarillo hops add a subtle layer of grapefruit and orange zest. Fermentation is clean with no diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression is a balance of bready malt and juicy pear. Medium-high hop flavor featuring spicy herbs and soft citrus. The bitterness is prominent but rounded and soft (approx. 35 IBU), never harsh. A gentle pear-driven acidity brightens the mid-palate, leading to a long, clean, and refreshing finish that is well-balanced between malt and hops.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, rounded texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a very light alcohol warmth consistent with its 5.7% ABV. Finishes crisp without astringency.
