For Mac is a traditional Irish Stout that honors its namesake through a focused sensory profile featuring British origin dark malts and UK Fuggles hops. The aroma is dominated by moderate coffee-like notes and hints of bittersweet cocoa, complemented by the low earthy spice of the UK Fuggles. On the palate, a firm roasted grain bitterness provides a dry, coffee-like impression with layers of unsweetened chocolate. Despite a slightly higher strength than typical examples, it remains remarkably smooth, finishing clean with a lingering roasted character that invites another sip, perfectly capturing the spirit of a communal pint.
Appearance. Jet black and opaque, showing deep garnet highlights when held to the light. It supports a thick, creamy, long-lasting tan-colored head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring prominent coffee-like roasted grain. Secondary notes of dark chocolate and cocoa are present, supported by a low earthy hop aroma and very low fruity esters.
