The aroma is dominated by the lush, tropical influence of toasted and untoasted coconut flakes, seamlessly integrated with the deep, earthy character of Ghana cocoa nibs. Nuanced vanilla beans from Uganda and the Cook Islands provide layers of floral sweetness and marshmallow-like richness. Despite its staggering strength, the profile remains harmonious, balancing intense roasted malts and spicy bourbon oak against a velvety, dessert-like complexity that lingers long into the spirit-forward finish.
Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, deep tan to dark brown head with moderate retention. High viscosity is evident as thick legs coating the glass.
Aroma. High intensity with a rich, complex blend of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and charred oak. Pronounced toasted coconut and floral vanilla beans from Uganda and the Cook Islands mingle with significant bourbon notes and dark fruit esters of fig and prune.
