NEIPA - New England IPA 9.5 º
This Triple New England style Double IPA is a massive, sensory-rich collaboration. A complex grain bill featuring wheat, oats, and even rice creates a velvety-smooth, opaque foundation for an explosive hop profile. Intense aromas of tropical fruit and coconut driven by Sabro are complemented by the citrus brightness of Amarillo and the underlying resinous depth of Simcoe. Despite its 9.5% ABV and 23° Plato density, the finish remains surprisingly dry with a firm, integrated bitterness. It offers a thick, fruit-salad-like complexity that balances lush stone fruit esters with a clean, warming alcohol presence, making it a powerful yet refined example of the style.
Appearance. Deep hazy gold to light orange; thick, dense, persistent off-white foam head with excellent lacing; opaque clarity with a creamy, heavy haze.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by ripe mango, pineapple, and distinct coconut. Supporting notes include citrus zest and a subtle, resinous pine. Malt presence is low and neutral with a slight bready sweetness.
Taste. Initial impression is an intense fruit explosion of tangerine and coconut. Features a firm, moderately high hop bitterness that balances the soft, bready malt character. The finish is remarkably dry and clean, featuring a lingering hoppy character without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a luxurious, velvety-smooth texture. Moderate carbonation and a noticeable, well-integrated alcohol warmth that reflects the high strength without being solventy.
