This American Strong Ale represents a bold collaboration between Sibeeria and Hop Hooligans, pushing the boundaries of balance with a robust 8.5% ABV. A deep ruby malt base provides a rich foundation of dark caramel and toffee, which perfectly anchors the aggressive hop profile. Massive additions of Citra, Chinook, and Idaho 7 drive a distinct fruit character reminiscent of wild strawberries and concentrated strawberry jam. Despite the intense calculated bitterness, the dense malt structure provides a velvety backdrop. The result is a complex, resinous, and berry-forward experience that bridges the gap between a Double IPA and a Barleywine.

Appearance. Deep ruby to burnished copper in color with excellent clarity. It pours with a moderate, persistent light tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by a unique blend of hop-derived wild strawberry and strawberry jam notes. Citra and Idaho 7 provide tropical and citrus undertones, while Chinook adds a layer of resinous pine. A bold, supportive malt presence contributes scents of dark caramel and toasted bread.

Taste. The initial impression is a powerful wave of bittersweet complexity. Rich flavors of dark caramel and toasted malt are immediately met by an assertive, high hop bitterness. Hop flavors of strawberry, grapefruit, and resinous pine from the Citra, Chinook, and Idaho 7 are prominent. It finishes bittersweet with a lingering resinous and toasty aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing enough lift to prevent the dense base from feeling cloying. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, accompanied by a light, pleasant hop astringency.
