Sibeeria Ice Planet delivers a modern take on the American IPA, utilizing a bottom-fermented profile to emphasize its razor-sharp clarity and hop intensity. The inclusion of rice creates a lean, pale canvas that allows the punchy hop combination to take center stage. Columbus and Simcoe provide a classic, robust backbone of resinous pine and dank earthiness, further amplified by Cryo Simcoe. A splash of Pacific Sunrise rounds out the profile with vibrant bursts of lime and tropical pineapple. This beer is decidedly dry and refreshingly bitter, offering a crisp, clean finish that showcases the bright, fruit-forward potential of its premium hops.
Appearance. Pale gold color (approx. 6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine, damp earth, and citrus. Strong notes of lime zest and pineapple are complemented by a very low, clean, grainy malt character. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no perceptible esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and crisp. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma with pine, resin, and pineapple dominant. A firm, assertive bitterness is balanced by a light, clean malt profile. The finish is very dry and snappy, leaving a lingering lime and pine resin aftertaste with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture due to the rice adjunct. Moderate to high carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle.
