Summer Barking is a vibrant American IPA designed for high drinkability without sacrificing hop intensity. Brewed with Krush hops, it delivers a punchy tropical profile of mango and guava, while the addition of Audacia hops introduces a sophisticated layer of fresh berry notes. The base is built on a lean, 10° Plato malt bill that provides a clean, grainy backdrop for the hops to dominate. This session-strength ale is pleasantly dry, offering a crisp and refreshing character that makes it an ideal companion for a summer afternoon or a pairing for grilled food.
Appearance. Medium gold color with a slight, inviting haze. It features a medium-sized, white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit characteristics from Krush hops and distinct berry notes from Audacia hops. The malt profile is low and clean, providing a grainy, neutral background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of tropical fruit and mixed berries dominate the initial impression. The malt flavor is low and grainy, supporting the hop presentation without adding sweetness. Bitterness is firm and assertive, leading into a crisp, dry finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth texture and no alcohol warmth. Carbonation is medium-high, contributing to a refreshing and crisp mouthfeel with no astringency.
