This refreshing Fruit Beer utilizes a Belgian-Style Wheat Ale base to showcase a bright, zesty lemonade character. Brewed with a blend of two-row and six-row malted barley, the beer maintains a soft, grainy presence that supports the fruit. Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (2-4 SRM). Cloudy to hazy appearance consistent with a wheat base. Large, frothy white head with moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh lemon zest and sweet lemonade. Moderate notes of coriander provide a spicy, herbal lift. Low bready malt aroma from the two-row and six-row barley. Hop aroma is very low, largely masked by the dominant citrus peel. Clean fermentation profile with very light peppery esters.
Taste. Initial impression is dominated by sweet-tart lemonade and zesty citrus peel. A light, crackery malt sweetness from the barley follows. Hop bitterness is low, serving only to balance the added sugar. Subtle herbal spice from coriander emerges mid-palate. The finish is crisp and clean with a lingering lemon-drop sweetness that remains refreshing rather than cloying.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with a soft, slightly creamy texture. High carbonation provides a prickly, refreshing effervescence. No alcohol warmth. Smooth and crisp across the palate.
