This Ukrainian Golden Ale, a collaboration with Beerfreak.org, presents a modern, hop-forward take on the Blonde Ale. The double dry-hopping regime featuring Green Bullet and Nectaron drives an expressive sensory profile. Ripe peach and zesty grapefruit aromas from the Nectaron are at the forefront, complemented by the delicate floral and spicy nuances of the Green Bullet hops. A foundational soft maltiness offers notes of fresh bread and light honey, providing a smooth canvas for the fruit-driven hop character. The finish is clean with a soft, lingering bitterness, making this slightly stronger iteration both refreshing and aromatically complex.
Appearance. Deep gold color (5-7 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, persistent white head and moderate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant stone fruit notes of peach and apricot are layered over bright grapefruit citrus. Low grainy-sweet malt aroma provides a solid base. The fermentation profile is very clean, allowing the floral and fruity hop character to shine.
Taste. Initial soft maltiness with bread and light honey flavors. Hop flavors follow the aroma with prominent peach and citrus pith. Hop bitterness is medium-low, providing just enough balance against the malt sweetness without becoming aggressive. The finish is medium-dry and clean with a gentle floral aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, rounded texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing sensation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
