This West Coast-style American IPA delivers an explosive sensory experience, centered on a high-intensity minefield of citrus and tropical fruit hop notes. The fermentation profile is remarkably neutral, emphasizing a crisp, resinous pine finish. Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (approx. 8 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit zest, tangerine, and tropical passionfruit, backed by a subtle resinous pine. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt provides a supporting background. No yeast-derived esters are present.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus peel and tropical fruit. Firm, medium-high bitterness dominates but remains clean. The malt flavor is low and crackery, offering a lean profile. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy bitterness and a faint hint of toast in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly resinous texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any harshness.
