This Hazy IPA offers a vibrant sensory journey that mirrors a rhythmic, soulful character. A massive dry-hopping regimen featuring Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin creates an intense bouquet of passion fruit, lychee, and fresh-crushed white grapes. Utilizing both standard pellets and Cryo formats, the hop expression is exceptionally bright and saturated, further elevated by the distinctive apricot and stone fruit esters produced by the Verdant yeast strain. A base of soft, bready malt provides a plush, pillowy canvas for the complex citrus and gooseberry layers. It finishes with a smooth, approachable bitterness, making this extra-dry-hopped version remarkably drinkable and expressive.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3-6 SRM) with a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head that leaves thick lacing. The beer is opaque with a characteristic hazy shine, free of any visible hop particulates or yeast clumps.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical mango, pineapple, and citrus from Citra and Mosaic, accented by the vinous, gooseberry, and white wine notes of Nelson Sauvin. Background malt is lightly bready and grainy. Esters are prominent, leaning toward ripe peach and apricot.
Taste. High fruity hop flavors reflecting the tropical and citrus aroma profile. The malt provides a soft, low-intensity grainy sweetness that balances the hop saturation. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, well-integrated into the full body. The finish is off-dry and smooth, featuring a lingering aftertaste of tropical fruit without any harshness or hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, plush, and silky texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is no perceived alcohol warmth, astringency, or harshness, emphasizing a rounded and creamy mouthfeel.
