Oculus presents a captivating sensory experience that bridges the gap between a hazy IPA and a wild ale. As a Wild Specialty Beer, it features a thick, opaque golden body typical of its New England IPA base. The addition of kalamansi puree provides a sharp, zesty citrus bite that intertwines seamlessly with the complex hop profile of Talus and Idaho 7. Expect vibrant aromas of pink grapefruit, tropical stone fruit, and a subtle floral rose note. The palate is a balanced interplay of clean lactic tartness and soft malt, finishing with a lingering pithy citrus and resinous depth.

Appearance. Pale gold to deep yellow (5-7 SRM); opaque, very hazy appearance with a thick, creamy white head that shows moderate retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics featuring sharp, acidic citrus notes reminiscent of lime and tangerine from the kalamansi. Distinctive hop character of pink grapefruit, dried rose, and pine from the Talus, alongside pineapple and mango from the Idaho 7. Clean lactic acidity is present with very low bready malt.

Taste. Initial impression is a refreshing, sharp lactic sourness followed by juicy kalamansi fruit. Hop flavors are prominent, showcasing grapefruit, resin, and peach. Bitterness is mild but provide structure against the acidity. The malt provides a soft, wheaty background. Finish is dry and tart with a lingering tropical and citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a creamy, smooth texture; moderate carbonation provides a lively prickle. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Low astringency with a crisp, acidic mouth-watering quality.
