This Double IPA showcases a vibrant sensory profile driven by a deliberate pairing of Krush and Dolcita hops. The Krush hops provide an intense foundation of mango, guava, and citrus, while Dolcita amplifies the tropical character with bright notes of stone fruit and sweet melon. At 8% ABV, the beer maintains a clean, neutral malt backbone that allows these modern hop varieties to shine without distraction. The result is a powerfully aromatic and flavorful experience with a firm but smooth bitterness, finishing dry and crisp in accordance with its style, balancing hop saturation with high drinkability.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (approx. 8 SRM) with a moderate, persistent off-white head that leaves delicate lacing. The clarity is good, showing only a very slight, translucent haze characteristic of modern dry-hopped versions.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and citrus notes. Overripe mango, passion fruit, and sweet clementine lead, followed by subtle hints of pine and stone fruit from the Krush and Dolcita hops. The malt is understated, presenting as clean, neutral graininess with no detectable fermentation esters.

Taste. Initial impression of intense tropical fruit—mango and melon—followed by a firm, moderately high bitterness that remains clean and lacks harshness. The malt character is soft and supportive, offering light toasted cracker notes without significant residual sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering resinous and citrusy hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-rounded texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. A well-integrated, gentle alcohol warmth is present, adding to the beer’s substantial character without becoming solventy or hot.
