Mr. Green is a quintessential American IPA, capturing the aggressive and aromatic spirit of the West Coast style. The sensory profile is led by an intense hop bouquet where Chinook and Simcoe deliver a punchy foundation of pine resin and grapefruit. These classic notes are brightened by the tropical fruit and stone fruit signatures of El Dorado and Idaho 7, creating a complex layering of pineapple and mango. It presents a brilliant gold with a resilient white head. The palate is defined by a clean, firm bitterness that dominates a lean malt frame, concluding in a crisp, bone-dry finish with a lingering resinous aftertaste.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (8 SRM); brilliant clarity; medium-sized, white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma; prominent resinous pine, grapefruit, and spicy notes (Chinook/Simcoe) balanced by tropical pineapple and stone fruit (El Dorado/Idaho 7); low, grainy, neutral malt support; clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and crisp; high hop flavor featuring resin, citrus zest, and tropical fruit; firm, assertive bitterness (approx. 65 IBU) that is clean and not harsh; low grainy maltiness with minimal caramel; finish is very dry with a long, hoppy, and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture; medium-high carbonation; light, smooth alcohol warmth from the 7% ABV; no astringency.
