This American Light Lager is designed for maximum refreshment, offering an exceptionally clean and bright profile tailored for the heat of the Deep South. The grist, featuring a blend of rice and maize, provides a lean, snappy foundation with a delicate, grainy sweetness. While traditional in structure, the use of Perle in the kettle adds a faint herbal nuance, while a light whirlpool addition of Citra introduces a modern, subtle citrus lift that remains restrained and crisp. It is a highly effervescent and crushable lager, finishing bone-dry and remarkably neutral, epitomizing the infinitely clean intent of the brewer.
Appearance. Very pale straw (2 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a white, frothy head that exhibits moderate persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Low intensity with a clean fermentation profile. Subtle notes of sweet grain and soft corn-like aromatics are present. Very low herbal hop character from Perle is complemented by a faint hint of citrus zest from the Citra whirlpool addition.
Taste. Relatively neutral and crisp initial impression. Low grainy malt flavor with a touch of corn-like sweetness. Hop flavor is very low, showing light spice and a minuscule citrus note.
