Scone / Delnorte Hoppy Blonde
This special edition Blonde Ale presents a vibrant, sensory-forward profile defined by an intensive triple dry-hopping process. Utilizing a combination of Citra and Sorachi Ace, the beer radiates an expressive bouquet of tropical fruits, specifically highlighting succulent peach, ripe pineapple, mango, and papaya. Despite its hazy, golden appearance and dense white foam, the character remains incredibly light and refreshing. The malt provides a subtle, clean foundation that allows the distinctive hop oils to dominate the palate from the initial sip through to a crisp, tropical finish, embodying a modern, hop-centric interpretation of a classic sessionable style.
Appearance. Light yellow to gold (3-6 SRM). Turbid/hazy appearance due to heavy dry-hopping. Features a dense, white, persistent head with good lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit notes of mango, papaya, pineapple, and peach. Low, neutral grainy malt sweetness and a clean fermentation profile with minimal yeast esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit flavors. Light bready or grainy malt provides a soft background. Medium-low bitterness allows the fruit-forward hop character to shine without being aggressive. Finishes medium-dry and clean with a lingering tropical hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with a refreshing, crisp quality. Moderate to high carbonation. Very smooth and fresh without astringency or alcohol warmth.
