This Hazy Double IPA delivers a bold sensory heist led by a complex hop blend of German Hallertau Callista and Solero, reinforced by the classic citrus punch of Amarillo. The experience opens with an intense aromatic getaway of ripe stone fruit, vibrant pineapple, and zesty orange. On the palate, a velvety, medium-full body provides a smooth vehicle for lush tropical flavors, balancing the 8% ABV with a deceptive, sneaky drinkability. While the hop impact is aggressive and saturated, the finish remains juicy and approachable, leaving a lingering trail of resinous citrus and soft malt sweetness that defines this collaborative adventure.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a large, creamy, off-white head that shows excellent persistence and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by ripe pineapple, apricot, and mango. Distinct zesty orange and grapefruit notes from Amarillo emerge alongside a subtle floral and berry undertone from the Callista and Solero. Malt is low and neutral, providing a soft bready background.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical fruit and stone fruit. Strong hop flavors of crushed pineapple and citrus zest are supported by a low, clean, soft malt character. Bitterness is firm but smooth and well-integrated, avoiding harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering aftertaste of citrus oils and tropical nectar.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, velvety body with a smooth, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but well-restrained alcohol warmth that is smooth rather than solventy. No hop-derived astringency.
