The sensory experience is led by a heavy dry-hop charge featuring Strata, which imparts distinct notes of passion fruit and wild strawberry. This is expertly supported by Galaxy and Idaho 7, adding layers of ripe pineapple, citrus zest, and a subtle resinous pine undertone. While intense in hop character, the beer maintains a clean, neutral malt backbone that allows the tropical and stone fruit flavors to shine. A firm but smooth bitterness balances the 8% ABV, resulting in a dry, refreshing finish that prioritizes high drinkability despite its significant strength.
Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7-9 SRM); moderate-sized, persistent white head with fine lacing; slight haze is present, reflecting its juicy character.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring heavy tropical notes of passion fruit, pineapple, and strawberry from the Strata and Galaxy hops. Light pine and herbal tea notes from Idaho 7 appear in the background, supported by a neutral, grainy malt character and a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent flavors of strawberry, peach, and grapefruit lead into a firm, moderately high bitterness. The malt is soft and unobtrusive, providing a clean canvas. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy, resinous aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Moderate carbonation provides a lively lift. A restrained, clean alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 8% strength, without any hop-derived astringency.
