This modern take on the German Pils offers a vibrant sensory experience, bridging traditional European structure with the bright, contemporary aromatics of New Zealand Cascade hops, also known as Taiheke. The beer presents a brilliant, pale gold appearance topped by a dense white head. Its aroma is defined by a moderate dry-hopping that introduces distinct lime zest and grapefruit notes over a clean, crackery malt base. On the palate, the highly attenuated body delivers a bone-dry finish where a firm bitterness meets refreshing citrus and floral hop character. It is a lean, crisp, and exceptionally drinkable lager designed for maximum refreshment.
Appearance. Straw to pale yellow (2-3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a creamy, long-lasting white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring lime, grapefruit, and floral notes from the Taiheke hops. Low grainy-sweet, cracker-like malt character. Clean fermentation profile with no sulfur or esters.
Taste. Initial crisp, grainy malt flavor is immediately followed by a firm hop bitterness. Prominent flavors of citrus zest and floral spice. Highly attenuated and bone-dry in the finish. Clean aftertaste with a lingering, pleasant bitterness and a hint of flinty mineral character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body. High carbonation providing a crisp, refreshing snap. No alcohol warmth. Smooth but sharp and well-attenuated, avoiding any heaviness or sweetness.
