Aroma. High intensity malt-forward profile featuring dark chocolate, heavy toast, and rich Maillard products. Subtle notes of molasses and dark fruit leather like raisins and plums. Clean fermentation with a moderate, well-integrated alcohol presence and no detectable hop aroma.
Taste. Very rich and intensely malty. Initial impressions of sweet toasted bread and cocoa give way to complex layers of dark fruit and caramelized sugars. Hop bitterness is low, serving only to support the massive malt backbone. Finishes with a lingering chocolate-like richness and a clean, warming alcohol presence that avoids any harsh, burnt grain character.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderately low, accentuating the beer's weight. Significant alcohol warmth is present but remains smooth rather than hot, with no perceived astringency.
