This malty core is expertly counterbalanced by organic Perle hops, which impart a distinct herbaceous and spicy character typical of noble German varieties. The unfiltered nature of this young lager provides a soft, rounded texture while maintaining a clean, lager-derived fermentation profile. Appearance. Pale copper color (5–7 SRM). Slightly hazy due to its unfiltered, young lager character. Features a persistent, creamy, off-white head with excellent retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate grainy-sweet malt aroma reminiscent of toasted biscuits and honey. Low to moderately-low spicy and herbaceous hop aroma from the Perle variety. Clean fermentation profile, lacking esters or phenols, with the heirloom malt dominating the olfactory balance.
Taste. Moderately malty start with a suggestion of honeyed sweetness and toasted grain. Low to medium-low bitterness provides support without becoming assertive.
