Blonde Ale 4.8 º 21 IBU
Pontenova is a refined Blonde Ale crafted with a European lager spirit, utilizing ale yeast fermented at cooler temperatures to achieve a crisp, clean profile. It presents a beautiful golden hue with a malt-forward character emphasizing grainy sweetness and fresh bread notes. The hop profile is strictly functional, providing a clean bitterness that balances the delicate malt backbone without overshadowing it with aroma. This results in a highly sessionable beer with a smooth, polished finish that bridges the gap between traditional ales and classic pilsners, offering significant flavor presence and character despite its approachable and easy-drinking nature.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity, pale gold to deep yellow color (4–6 SRM). Topped with a medium-sized, frothy white head that exhibits moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Low to moderate intensity featuring clean, grainy-sweet malt notes reminiscent of cracker or fresh bread. Hop aroma is nearly absent or very low, showing faint floral or spicy European characteristics. Fermentation is clean with a very subtle, nearly imperceptible pome fruit ester.
Taste. Initial impression is of soft, sweet maltiness. The flavor profile is dominated by bready malt, balanced by a low to moderate hop bitterness that provides a crisp edge. Hop flavor is minimal. The finish is clean and medium-dry, with a brief, pleasant aftertaste of grain.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation that creates a refreshing, spritzy sensation. No alcohol warmth is present at this gravity. Smooth texture with no harshness or astringency.
