Santina Eternum
Santina Eternum is a vibrant American IPA designed for a meditative, sensory-shifting experience. At 5.8% ABV, it leans heavily into a lush profile of tropical fruits, leading with a prominent bouquet of ripe mango, papaya, and passion fruit. A distinct resinous backbone provides a classic pine-like structure that expertly balances the fruit-forward sweetness. The palate remains crisp and hop-centric, eventually yielding to a unique and refreshing finish of kiwi. This moderately strong ale combines a clean, supportive malt base with high hop intensity to create a bright, dimension-shifting profile that remains remarkably drinkable and balanced.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber in color. Exhibits a medium-sized, persistent white head with good lacing. Generally clear, although a very slight haze from heavy dry-hopping is acceptable.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring a complex array of tropical fruits including mango, papaya, and passion fruit. A sharp, piney resinous note provides depth. Low, clean, grainy maltiness supports the hop-forward presentation with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical hop flavors, specifically mango and papaya. A medium-high resinous bitterness quickly emerges to balance the palate. The malt flavor is low and clean, providing a light, grainy foundation. The finish is dry and refreshing, characterized by a lingering and distinctive kiwi aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, clean texture. Moderate-high carbonation adds a crisp, refreshing bite. No harshness or astringency, and very minimal, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
