Santa Rosa Mocca presents a lush, dessert-forward interpretation of a Sweet Stout, elevated by the addition of roasted coffee and fine Ecuadorian cacao. The sensory journey begins with a rich interplay of dark chocolate and sweetened espresso, supported by a backbone of milky sweetness. These agroecologically grown ingredients impart a deep, earthy complexity that complements the mild roasted grain profile. Notes of semi-sweet chocolate and toasted beans dominate the palate, leading to a velvety, cream-like finish. The moderate alcohol provides a gentle warmth that integrates seamlessly with the decadent, full-bodied texture, creating a balanced and indulgent experience reminiscent of a mocha latte.

Appearance. Deep ebony to opaque black (35-40 SRM). Pours with a thick, creamy, tan-colored head that shows good retention and leaves persistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. A distinct cream-like sweetness is present, reminiscent of sweetened condensed milk. Low fruity esters of dark cherry are secondary to the dominant cacao and roasted bean notes. Hop aroma is absent.

Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet, dominated by flavors of milk chocolate and medium-roast coffee. The fine Ecuadorian cacao provides a luxurious chocolate character without harsh bitterness. Moderate roasted grain flavor provides a counterpoint to the high residual sweetness.
