Lume is a vibrant Hazy IPA that channels intense tropical energy through its thoughtfully selected hop bill. It prominently features Mosaic and HBC 586 hops, delivering a complex sensory profile of ripe mango, blueberries, and lychee. The pour is a glowing straw-gold with an opaque, luminous haze. Aromatically, the HBC 586 contributes a distinctive medley of stone fruit and citrus, while the Mosaic adds its signature resinous berry depth. The palate is soft and pillowy, with a restrained bitterness that allows the juicy hop character to shine against a neutral, bready malt backdrop. It finishes smooth and refreshing, embodying the modern juicy profile with a clean fermentation character.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4 SRM). Opaque with a characteristic hazy shine. Topped with a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet. Dominant notes of tropical fruit (mango, pineapple), stone fruit (peach), and a touch of blueberry from the Mosaic hops. HBC 586 provides citrus and guava. Low bready malt aroma provides a neutral base. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma—mango, citrus, and mixed berries lead the palate. Medium-low bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. Malt is supportive and lightly grainy, lacking any toast or caramel. The finish is off-dry and smooth, emphasizing a juicy aftertaste without any hop burn or harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with no astringency. At 6% ABV, there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances the drinkability.
