A supportive foundation of clean, grainy malt provides just enough structure to balance the bracing bitterness and crisp bite. This bold character culminates in a dry, refreshing finish that lingers with a clean, hoppy aftertaste. It is a focused and aromatic expression of the style, emphasizing clarity of flavor and an assertive, resinous depth.
Appearance. Medium gold with excellent clarity. It supports a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma characterized by fresh pine resin and bright grapefruit-like citrus. A subtle, clean, grainy-sweet malt backbone sits in the background with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. The flavor leads with aggressive hop bitterness and resinous pine, followed by sharp citrus zest. Low levels of toasted malt provide a lean body. The finish is decidedly dry and crisp, leaving a lingering, clean bitterness on the palate.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Moderate to high carbonation enhances the crisp, bracing sensation. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
