This West Coast-style American IPA delivers a sharp, clean sensory profile defined by its assertive hop character and high attenuation. Meticulously brewed with Simcoe, Krush, and Topaz hops, it leads with a bright aromatic burst of resinous pine, zesty grapefruit, and hints of tropical stone fruit. The palate is defined by a crisp, grainy malt backbone that allows the hop-derived citrus and resin to remain at the forefront, culminating in the trademark firm bitterness expected of the Pacific Northwest tradition. Refreshing and lean, it finishes dry with a lingering, clean hop presence that invites another sip, showcasing a masterfully executed balance between intensity and drinkability.
Appearance. 6-8 SRM. Pale gold to medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a persistent, frothy white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of resinous pine and grapefruit from Simcoe, complemented by the citrus and stone fruit characteristics of Krush and the tropical accents of Topaz. Very low, clean, grainy-sweet malt support. Fermentation is clean with no perceptible esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a punch of hop flavor echoing the aroma—pine, citrus peel, and light tropical fruit. High bitterness that is firm but not harsh, well-supported by a lean, neutral pale malt profile. Finishes dry and crisp with a long, lingering hop bitterness and a clean aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. No significant alcohol warmth or astringency.
