Salikatt Sevje is a punchy Double IPA that lives up to its name, delivering a resinous, sap-like experience. Dominated by a heavy-handed saturation of Columbus, Simcoe, and Citra hops, the profile is intensely piney and dank with an undercurrent of bright citrus zest and grapefruit. A lean, light-colored malt base keeps the focus entirely on the hops, ensuring a dry, crisp finish despite the elevated strength. It balances old-school aggressive bitterness with a clean fermentation profile, offering a modern take on the classic West Coast style that emphasizes forest resin and herbal depth over caramel sweetness.

Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (6–8 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, dense, white head that shows excellent persistence and leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring heavy notes of pine resin, damp earth, and dank qualities. Secondary notes of grapefruit peel and slight lemon pith. Malt is low and neutral, providing a faint crackery backdrop. Clean fermentation with a very subtle hint of smooth ethanol.

Taste. The initial impression is an explosive wave of hop oils—resinous pine and herbal spice. High bitterness is firm and assertive but clean, avoiding harshness. Malt flavors are minimal, offering just enough grainy support to carry the hops. The finish is decisively dry and lingering, with a persistent hoppy, bitter aftertaste and a touch of citrus oil.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a crisp, smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing scrub to the palate. A well-integrated, gentle alcohol warmth is present but never solventy. No noticeable astringency.
