Pocket Pair is a vibrant and saturated Double IPA that exemplifies the modern, juicy side of the style. Highlighting the interplay between Motueka, Mosaic, and Mosaic Cryo hops, it presents a concentrated bouquet of lime zest, tropical passion fruit, and ripe blueberries. The 8% ABV provides a plush, supportive backbone without distracting heat, allowing the hop-derived oils to dominate the palate. The mouthfeel is exceptionally smooth and creamy, characteristic of the New England influence, finishing with a soft, restrained bitterness. It is a dense, fruit-forward experience that balances intensity with high drinkability, leaving a lingering impression of tropical citrus and sweet berry.

Appearance. Deep gold color (6-7 SRM) with a heavy, opaque haze. Features a thick, persistent white foam head with excellent retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring crushed lime, tropical passion fruit, and ripe melon from the Motueka and Mosaic additions. A soft, doughy, neutral malt sweetness sits in the background, complemented by moderate fruity esters of stone fruit. No solventy alcohol is present.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of sweet lime, tropical mango, and forest berries. The malt provides a soft, bready foundation that supports the high hop saturation without adding cloying sweetness. Bitterness is firm but rounded and smooth, avoiding any resinous harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a long, fruit-laden aftertaste of citrus zest and tropical fruit.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, velvety, and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the plush feel. A very gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, with no hop-derived astringency.
