This bourbon barrel-aged Doppelbock offers a decadent sensory experience, merging the deep malt complexity of Munich malt with the evocative nuances of wood aging. Deep mahogany with ruby flashes, it releases an aroma of toasted bread, rich Maillard products, and dark fruit leather, layered over vanilla and charred oak from the barrel. The palate is velvety and full, dominated by bready malt sweetness and hints of plum and raisin. The bourbon influence introduces a smooth caramel depth and a gentle spiritous warmth that complements the clean lager finish. It is a sophisticated, robust interpretation with masterfully integrated barrel character.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with ruby highlights (20-25 SRM). Large, creamy, off-white head with excellent persistence and fine lacing. Clear brilliance.

Aroma. High intensity malt-forward aroma featuring toasted Munich malt, bread crusts, and dark fruit esters like plums and raisins. Significant bourbon barrel influence provides notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and light coconut. Virtually no hop aroma. Moderate alcohol presence is clean and well-integrated.

Taste. Rich and intensely malty with flavors of toasted bread, caramel, and dark fruit. Bourbon barrel aging adds complexity with vanilla, oak, and a hint of dark toffee. Moderately low hop bitterness allows the malt to lead. Finishes with a lingering malty sweetness and a clean, warming spiritous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full-bodied with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderately low. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness or astringency.
