Salikatt and Lervig deliver a vibrant, sensory-focused Double India Pale Ale that pushes the boundaries of the Fruit Beer category. This hazy, opaque pour radiates deep gold, releasing high-intensity aromas of fresh passionfruit and mango. The specific dry-hop combination of Citra and Eclipse introduces sharp layers of grapefruit zest and mandarin orange, which integrate seamlessly with the real fruit additions. On the palate, a velvety, medium-full body supports a tropical explosion, balancing the resinous hop character against a soft, bready malt backbone. It finishes with a lingering, juicy citrus punch and a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth that highlights its strength.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (SRM 5-7). Opaque with a thick, persistent, creamy off-white head that leaves dense lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics dominated by fresh passionfruit and succulent mango. Citra hops provide a distinct lime and grapefruit citrus edge, while Eclipse hops contribute notes of mandarin peel and sweet resin. Low bready malt sweetness underpins the fruit.

Taste. Initial impression is an intense burst of tropical fruit juice. Mango and passionfruit flavors are prominent, followed by the sharp, zesty bitterness of grapefruit and citrus pith. The Citra hops add a bright lemon-lime layer, while the Eclipse hops bring a mandarin-like sweetness. Finishes smooth and juicy with a lingering tropical aftertaste and a balanced, firm bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full, creamy body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, consistent with the 8% ABV. Low astringency despite the heavy hop and fruit load.
