Comfort Zone is an intense Double IPA that focuses on a high-intensity tropical profile. Built upon a soft and light-colored malt base, this beer is designed to showcase the innovative HBC-1019 hop variety, which contributes distinct notes of honeydew melon and stone fruit. This is layered with the classic citrus punch of Citra and the complex berry and tropical depth of Mosaic. The result is a sensory experience defined by ripe mango, passion fruit, and lime. Despite its 8% strength, the beer maintains a high level of drinkability with a finish that emphasizes hop character over malt sweetness, delivering a modern, fruit-forward profile.

Appearance. Pours a pale gold to light orange with a significant haze consistent with modern interpretations. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit, specifically mango and passion fruit, alongside notes of melon and peach from the HBC-1019. Supportive citrus notes of grapefruit and lime are present. The malt is neutral, clean, and grainy, providing a soft background to the hop-forward profile.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and citrus flavors. Strong hop character mirrors the aroma with layers of melon, berry, and lime. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but lacks any harshness. The malt character is soft, clean, and unobtrusive, supporting the hops without adding caramel sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and tropical aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, restrained alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No hop-derived astringency is perceived.
