This West Coast-inspired American IPA presents a vibrant hop profile centered on the unique interplay between French and American varieties. The inclusion of Barbe Rouge introduces distinct notes of ripe strawberries and red currants, which are sharpened by the classic citrus and tropical punch of Citra and the floral grapefruit character of Cascade. A lean, light-colored grain bill ensures a crisp, unobtrusive malt foundation, allowing the hops to dominate the palate. Refreshing and decidedly bitter, it finishes remarkably dry, embodying the classic West Coast spirit with a modern, berry-forward aromatic twist.

Appearance. Pale gold to medium gold (approx. 6-8 SRM); brilliant clarity with a persistent, frothy white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of strawberry and raspberry from the Barbe Rouge hops, complemented by Citra-driven lime and mango, and a floral, grapefruit zest from Cascade. Low, clean grainy-sweet malt presence with a neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Leading with a sharp, clean hop bitterness that aligns with the style’s high IBU expectations. Flavors of citrus peel, tropical fruit, and distinct red berries persist over a restrained, crackery malt base. The balance is heavily hop-forward, culminating in a crisp, dry, and lingering bitter finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, smooth texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. A very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any harshness or astringency.
