This decadent Imperial Stout celebrates a five-year milestone with an indulgent sensory profile defined by rum barrel aging and confectionery-inspired adjuncts. The aroma is dominated by toasted coconut, dark chocolate, and a distinct buttery cream biscuit sweetness, underscored by rich molasses and spiced oak from the rum barrels. On the palate, a massive wave of cocoa and espresso meets the tropical warmth of coconut, finishing with a lingering, velvety sweetness reminiscent of a chocolate-filled cookie. The 11% ABV provides a significant but well-integrated warmth, ensuring this complex, dessert-forward beer remains a bold and sophisticated experience.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM) with a thick, dark tan head that displays moderate retention; high viscosity is evident by the heavy legs forming on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity featuring rich dark chocolate and roasted grain, layered with prominent toasted coconut and a sweet, doughy cream biscuit character; the rum barrel influence adds notes of vanilla, oak, and molasses with subtle dark fruit esters.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely sweet and malty with flavors of bittersweet chocolate and fudge. A mid-palate of shredded coconut and buttery biscuit dough is supported by moderate roasted bitterness that prevents the finish from being overly cloying. The rum barrel aging contributes a warming spirit character and oak tannin, leading to a long, sweet aftertaste of cocoa and spice.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied and viscous with a chewy, luscious, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low, and the high alcohol content provides a noticeable, smooth warmth without being harsh or solventy.
