Brainzilla is a refined take on the traditional Munich Helles, designed for exceptional drinkability while maintaining a sophisticated Bavarian character. The sensory profile is led by the rich, grainy-sweetness of Continental Pilsner malt, which provides a soft and rounded foundation. This malty core is elegantly balanced by a delicate, low-intensity hop presence featuring herbal and spicy notes typical of traditional German hops. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, allowing the interplay between the elegant malt depth and the restrained bitterness to shine. It concludes with a soft, dry finish that avoids being overly crisp, resulting in a smooth, approachable lager that stays true to its heritage.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a luminous pale gold color (approximately 4 SRM). It supports a persistent, creamy white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean, grainy-sweet malt focus. Very low to low spicy and herbal hop character. Fermentation is clean with no esters, phenols, or diacetyl present.
Taste. The initial impression is moderately malty and soft. Grainy-sweet malt flavors dominate the palate without being cloying, supported by a low to medium-low bitterness. Subtle herbal hop flavors emerge in the mid-palate. The finish is clean and soft, offering a gentle malt-forward aftertaste that is not harsh or biting.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-lagered texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle mouth-coating sensation. No alcohol warmth is perceived at 5% ABV, and the beer is completely free of astringency.
