Saku Porter presents a quintessential Baltic Porter experience, designed for slow sipping during dark winter nights. The foundation is built upon a complex blend of caramel and coffee malts, yielding a deep, multi-layered profile of toasted bread, dark chocolate, and subtle licorice. Aromas of dried plums and raisins intertwine with a clean, vinous character typical of the style. The palate begins with a rich, malty sweetness that transitions into a smooth, roasted coffee finish without any harsh burnt notes. A dense, brownish foam caps the mahogany liquid, while the medium-full body provides a comforting, deceptive warmth that lingers through the finish.

Appearance. Opaque dark mahogany with ruby highlights; thick, persistent, creamy brownish foam with excellent lacing; clear in the light despite its depth.

Aroma. High intensity of rich caramel and toasted bread; deep accents of coffee malts and dark chocolate. Complex ester profile of prunes, raisins, and dried cherries with a clean fermentation character and no hop aroma.

Taste. Initial malty sweetness with toffee and molasses; transitions to prominent yet smooth roasted flavors of coffee and bitter chocolate. Low bitterness provides balance against the malt. Finish is smooth and slightly dry, leaving a lingering aftertaste of licorice and dark fruit.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture; moderate-high carbonation provides a mouth-filling sensation without being heavy. Well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but not hot.
