Hit the Magma is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that erupts with a complex interplay of zesty citrus and pungent herbs. This wild ale showcases an intense aromatic profile where the juice and zest of sweet oranges and tart white grapefruits collide with the resinous, needle-like aromatics of fresh rosemary. The wild fermentation lends a refreshing lactic acidity and subtle funky undertones that sharpen the fruit character. Beneath the bright citrus, a lean malt backbone supports a dry, crisp finish, making this 6.5% ABV creation both bold and invigorating, perfectly capturing the essence of its fiery namesake through a cooling, tart sensory explosion.

Appearance. Deep orange to amber hue with a persistent haze. Pours with a thin, white head that dissipates quickly, leaving minimal lacing, typical for acidic wild fermentations.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of freshly peeled orange and pithy white grapefruit. A distinct, savory rosemary note provides an herbal, pine-like edge. Supporting these are moderate lactic sourness and a light earthy funk characteristic of American wild yeast strains.

Taste. Sharp, clean lactic acidity leads, followed immediately by layers of citrus. The sweetness of the orange is quickly balanced by the assertive, slightly bitter character of white grapefruit. Rosemary adds a resinous complexity mid-palate. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering citrus zest and herbal aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a prickly, high carbonation that enhances the perception of acidity. Very low alcohol warmth is present. A slight tannic astringency from the grapefruit pith and rosemary adds structure to the finish.
