REKT is a modern, vibrant expression of the American IPA, prioritizing a lush, juicy profile while maintaining the style’s hallmark hop intensity. The aromatic punch is driven by a trio of Triumph, Zappa, and Azacca hops, delivering an explosive bouquet of tropical fruit, ripe mango, and succulent peach. Despite its hazy appearance and saturated hop character, the beer remains exceptionally smooth and approachable. A supportive, low-intensity grainy malt presence provides a clean canvas for the complex hop flavors to evolve, leading into a firm bitterness and a refreshingly dry finish that balances the perceived sweetness of the tropical fruit notes.

Appearance. Medium gold with a distinct, cloudy haze. Pours with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of mango, stone fruit such as peach, and a medley of tropical fruits from the Triumph, Zappa, and Azacca hops. Very low, clean, grainy maltiness. Fermentation is clean with only a subtle hint of fruit esters that complement the hop profile.

Taste. Explodes with tropical fruit and stone fruit flavors, mirroring the peach and mango found in the aroma. The bitterness is firm but well-integrated, providing the necessary counterpoint to the hop-saturated palate. Low grainy malt flavors support the hops without adding sweetness. The finish is medium-dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notably smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate to high. Very light, subtle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no astringency or harshness.

We love brewing hazy IPAs and we really love it when we get to experiment with new hop varieties! Our first beer utilizing newly released American hops: Zappa and Triumph. Zappa exudes passionfruit, tropical juicy fruit and even mint. While Triumph delivers delicate peach and orange aromas. We’ve paired these new hops with a bit of Azacca and Cryo Pop for a fresh and interesting take on our usual hazy goodness. This one is really unique, yet comfortingly familiar and we love it.
