S43 Brewery Flex is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a sophisticated interplay between tropical sweetness and resinous depth. The inclusion of Strata, Galaxy, and Citra Cryo hops creates an intense aromatic profile defined by punchy passionfruit, ripe mango, and a distinctive dank, piney undertone. A grist rich in oats and wheat provides a soft, pillowy foundation, supporting the juicy hop character with a subtle, bready malt sweetness. While it leans into the characteristic opacity and soft mouthfeel of the style, it retains a firm, purposeful bitterness that balances the lush fruit notes, leading to a clean, lingering resinous finish.
Appearance. Color is straw to light orange (4-6 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous shine. Persistent, thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of passionfruit, mango, and bright citrus. Notable dank, resinous, and piney notes emerge from the combination of Strata and Galaxy. Background malt is lightly bready and grainy from the oats and wheat; fermentation esters are fruity and complementary.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with intense passionfruit, citrus, and stone fruit. Low bready malt flavor provides a soft platform for the hops. Features a firm, moderate bitterness that is more pronounced than many examples of the style, leading to a clean, off-dry finish with a lingering resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture derived from the heavy use of oats and wheat. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Free of any hop-derived astringency or harshness.
