CHAD presents a vibrant sensory profile, leaning into the tropical intensity of its modern hop bill featuring Azacca, Mosaic, Simcoe, Strata, and Meridian. This American IPA pours with a creamy, protein-driven haze from the generous use of wheat and oats. The aroma is saturated with bright bursts of orange juice and passion fruit, complemented by a subtle melon sweetness and a characteristic layer of dankness. On the palate, the S43 house yeast amplifies the tropical fruit character, while the light malt backbone provides a clean, grainy support. It finishes crisp and refreshing, balancing hop-forward intensity with a smooth, approachable bitterness.
Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (4-6 SRM). Hazy to opaque with a persistent, thick, white creamy head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, freshly squeezed orange, and cantaloupe. A distinct resinous, dank undertone is present. Low grainy, bready malt notes with light tropical fruit esters from the fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit flavors, primarily passion fruit and melon, followed by citrusy orange. Hop bitterness is moderate and clean, supporting the fruit-forward profile. Low grainy malt sweetness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering fruity and lightly resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a noticeably smooth, creamy texture from the oats and wheat. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp lift. Minimal alcohol warmth. No astringency.
